Их задержание стало следствием совокупности обстоятельств, возникших в ходе иммиграционного процесса. Несмотря на то, что Галина добросовестно выполняла все требования законодательства и активно участвовала в своём деле, ряд процедурных вопросов, связанных с предыдущим юридическим сопровождением, не был своевременно урегулирован. В результате Галина и её сын не по своей вине лишились возможности продолжать процесс в обычном порядке.
Иммиграционное дело было отклонено по формальным процессуальным основаниям, без рассмотрения его по существу.
Галина уже несколько лет живёт в США, работает и одна воспитывает сына. Она востребованный стилист-парикмахер, добросовестный налогоплательщик и активный член общества. Это человек с невероятной внутренней силой и широкой душой. Обаятельная и чуткая, она умеет объединять людей вокруг себя.
Её сын — ученик старшей школы (медицинский класс), отличник и спортсмен. Он мечтает связать своё будущее с медициной и много работает ради этого.
Семья не смогла своевременно сменить адвоката по финансовым причинам: все накопленные средства были направлены на оплату услуг предыдущего юриста, который до последнего момента уверял, что ситуация находится под контролем.

We are asking for your support for my niece, Galina, and her minor son, Alexander.
At this moment, they are being held in an immigration detention center in the state of Texas.
Their detention resulted from a combination of circumstances that arose during the immigration process. Despite the fact that Galina diligently complied with all legal requirements and actively participated in her case, a number of procedural issues related to her previous legal representation were not resolved in a timely manner. As a result, through no fault of their own, Galina and her son lost the opportunity to continue the process in the usual manner.
The immigration case was denied on formal procedural grounds, without consideration of its merits.
Galina has been living in the United States for several years. She works and raises her son on her own. She is a highly sought-after stylist-hairdresser, a responsible taxpayer, and an active member of the community. She is a person of great inner strength and generosity, kind and compassionate, with a natural ability to bring people together.
Her son is a high school student in a medical-focused program, an honor student, and an athlete. He dreams of pursuing a future in medicine and works hard toward that goal.
The family was unable to change attorneys in a timely manner due to financial constraints, as all of their savings had been paid to the previous lawyer, who assured them until the very last moment that the situation was under control.

At this time, we urgently need to cover the cost of a new immigration attorney who can help Galina and her son be released from detention and defend their chances of legal status.
