Leesburg B&O Train Depot Restoration

Tax deductible
The Leesburg Area Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and culture of the Leesburg, Ohio area.  Our first project is restoring our 1899 Train Depot so that it can be used for cultural and educational purposes, and attracting history and railroad buffs to our village.   Some potential uses we envision for a restored depot:  history exhibits, programs for school classes, a gathering space that groups can rent, and a downtown concert stage!

We’re gratefully accepting donations toward restoration of the depot.  We have received a grant from the state for $100,000 but this won’t fund all needed repairs.

The depot needs:
·  foundation & drainage repairs
·  truss repairs & metal roof
·  new windows & doors
·  lighting, railings, ramps, & walkways for safety
·  new electric & HVAC
·  repairs & paint for siding
·  accessible bathroom

Naming rights for stage, ticket window, conference room, and cargo room are available.

All donors of $100 or more will be acknowledged on a permanent plaque.

Please show your love for Leesburg by helping us restore YOUR depot!

You can also donate in person at Southern Hills Community Bank or by mailing a check to LAHS at PO Box 63, Leesburg, OH 45135.
