Laramie is a short film directed and written by Brennan Hopkins and produced by Emily MacDonald.
The film follows the exploits of a fictional TV show cowboy who has grown disillusioned with the TV show world in which he lives. On a search for greater meaning, he sets out to modern day West Toronto, where he meets Teddy- a young stoner grieving the loss of her father, and his biggest fan. Throughout the course of one night together these two characters help each other face the issues they have both been running from. Laramie is a story of nostalgia, grief, and unlikely friendship.
As a student production our biggest struggle is financing these creative endeavours. Our crew would greatly appreciate any support in making this project a reality.
