HELP US HELP BABY MAYA
Earlier this year Caitlin and Grant welcomed baby Maya into this world. Unfortunately she has been fighting two seperate heart conditions since she was born.
She was flown RFDS from Karratha to Perth and now on to Melbourne for specialist assessment and treatment where she remains with Caitlin and Grant.
There have been so many obstacles and opportunities for her to give up but she’s shown she is a true fighter. Caitlin and Grant have been there beside her all the way doing everything they can.
They have never asked for anything and been quietly supporting Maya in her fight against the odds. It’s now a time for us to provide them with some help in the most practical way we can.
In Melbourne during the COVID times they are unable to be by her bedside together, can’t hold her and play with her, they can’t even remain in the room when the medical team arrive due to distancing restrictions. They spend little time together as only one of them at a time can be at her bedside and no time united as the family unit they deserve to be able to enjoy.
As time goes on they need our help to ensure they can keep fighting. The paid leave they took to enjoy welcoming Maya into this world ends soon and Maya plans to fight well beyond this.
Please help us help them to be able to continue to meet their financial commitments while they focus on getting Maya healthy enough to come back home. This is going to be the fight of their lives - let’s help them make it happen.
A one off donation or a little amount each pay day will go a long way to helping someone who has spent their nursing career helping others.

We are nurses from the Alma Street Clinic, Fremantle Hospital where we worked with Caitlin (Maya’s mum) who we are raising money for. Our team at the hospital are hoping to raise enough money to support Grant and Caitlin while they are off work looking after baby Maya, and to help pay for any future medical expenses/ therapies that aren’t covered. Once we have raised our goal amount we will organise deposit into Grant and Caitlins bank account as soon as possible.
