Help Kris Dueck Fight Cancer

This GoFundMe page has been created for financial support of Kris, Ingrid, Hudson, and Kolton Dueck, as they navigate Kris’s recent diagnosis of a form of cancer called “Non-secretory Multiple Myeloma".

In February of this year, Kris was taken by air ambulance to Edmonton on what was suspected to be a broken vertebra. After surgery, and further investigation, a tumour was discovered in his cervical spine. Once recovered from surgery, Kris did 3 weeks of radiation treatment in Edmonton. This past May, doctors were able to finally diagnose Kris with non secretory multiple myeloma, which is an incurable, but treatable form of cancer. The goal for treatment is remission and control of the disease.

The oncologist has laid out a 3-phase plan over the next year, including several forms of chemotherapy, as well as a stem cell transplant. This treatment plan will include many trips to Edmonton, with some extended stays at the Cross Cancer clinic.

Prior to being diagnosed, Kris was working as an independent contractor, in Cold Lake, Alberta. Kris is unable to work as he normally would be able to, which is challenging – both physically and financially. We are asking for financial help for Kris, Ingrid, and their young sons, Hudson, and Kolton, to help get through this very tough time they are going through right now.
