My brother's Handicap Accessibility
Donation protected
My brother, Tyndall, contracted a kidney disease in the early 80's due to an untreated strept infection. He has been battling the disease ever since and had to have his first kidney transplant, donated from one of his older sisters, in the mid-80's. He has since had 2 additional transplants, one donated by a family member and one from an organ donor. When surgeons do a kidney transplant, they do not remove the original kidney. Tyndall now has 5 kidneys in his body!
Tyndall contracted diabetes from the steroid medications required following a transplant. Due to complications and infections, he had his big toe removed in the fall of 2014. Shortly after, the doctors had to remove a piece of his foot. Two weeks ago, the doctors unexpectedly had to amputate his leg from the knee down.
Funds raised here will go towards making Tyndall and his wife Cyndi's home wheelchair accessible. Tyndall has become my hero during all of this because of his positive attitude, hard work and independence in the face of extremely difficult circumstances. Any and every amount that you can give to help his family will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!
