Help Kitten Get Urgent Cardiology Treatment

My constant companion and best friend is having a health crisis of her own and we need some help to get through it.

On March 15 (which happens to be International Long Covid Awareness Day) my cat Autumn, AKA “Kitten”, had what the vet believes to be a seizure or blood clot situation. She froze with her limbs and tail stiffened in unnatural positions, was twitching and unable to breathe normally, walk or stand. It was so scary, I thought that was the end of the road for us. My mom and I rushed her to the emergency vet hospital where tests revealed that she is dealing with an enlarged heart and heart disease :(

She is now home recovering and has regained the use of her legs. With help her condition is treatable but we need to move quickly so things don’t get worse.

I have exhausted my savings and credit with nearly 4 years of long covid & ME/CFS. The next steps are for Kitten to have an echocardiogram and ECG and consult a cardiologist so that we can get her on the right meds. Unfortunately, this is very costly and as I am on disability due to my own health issues, accessing a loan or credit card is extremely difficult. If I was still working this cost would be a blow (but still within reach) but right now it just feels overwhelming and impossible!

With the right care management and medication, Kitten’s prognosis is good! She has literally saved me and kept me going over the last 4 years (while being 90% housebound) and now it's my turn to save her!

Any small donation of $5, $10 or $20 towards my little baby’s treatment would help so so much. I know times are very tough right now for many, so it’s hard to ask for support. I am hoping we can crowdsource some funds with a lot of little donations. I’m really hoping together we can get Kitten the treatment she desperately needs.
