I have been diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma cancer, the tumour is in my throat, this has also spread to 3 tumours in my lymph nodes and I am undergoing Chemotherapy & Radiation.
As the radiation (which will be 5 days a week for a minimum of 7 weeks) is going to be around my throat & neck area (up to my nose and down to my chest) I will have to be fed by tube direct into my stomach, I will probably suffer permanent damage to my throat, taste buds & saliva glands. I will also probably need surgery at some point after the radiation.
I was a self employed cabinet maker and will not able to continue in this profession. My wife will be unable to work as I will need a full time carer. 90% of my family live in the UK so I do not have the support of my family.
I was shocked to receive the diagnosis of throat cancer as I have never smoked and I want to fight this with everything I have, I just need a little help, any donation is much appreciated.
