We're Keira and Izzi, two 15 year old students from Leeds. We've recently trialled for the Great British Under 17 Womens Ultimate Frisbee team and have been selected . So, we'll be travelling to Vienna, Austria in August to represent Team GB to compete against the best Ultimate National teams across Europe in the EYUC (European Youth Ultimate Championship).

We're immensely proud to have been selected to represent our country. As you can imagine this will entail an enormous commitment both in our time to train to compete and financially as the sport of Ultimate is at present fully self-funded.

Due to the relatively ‘young’ nature of our sport, Ultimate players are not afforded any national or governing body funding as yet. Ultimate has now been recognised by the International Olympic Committee, and with this in mind, we're hoping to become an Olympic athletes in the future.

The cost of the training leading up to the European Championships, and travel & accommodation in Austria is in the region of £3500 each.
