My name is San, and I'm raising funds to start my farm business, Herbal Affirmations.

As a military veteran, my focus is providing alternative medicine to help fellow soldiers working through stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia. I have worked as a farmer for five years and recently completed the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) apprenticeship program. My farm operation will grow medicinal herbs and sell herbal teas, tinctures, and smoke blends.

On my 1/8th acre plot, I will use sustainable practices such as minimal tillage, crop rotation, cover cropping, and Korean Natural Farming amendments for optimum soil fertility. This upcoming season, I will be growing 20 different medicinal roots, leafy herbs and flowers, that support mental health.

The money raised from this campaign will be used to purchase the supplies, tools, and equipment needed to build an herb dryer, seed, plant and harvest crops, and process them into added-value products.
