For those who don’t know me, my name is Jessica Holt and I am trying to raise funds for my friend Kayla Bosworth and her family.

Kayla unfortunately had a bad fall on Tuesday (20/1/26) off of a racehorse. She was unresponsive and was air lifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital. She still is yet to wake up fully, she has opened her eyes a few times and squeezes her Mum’s hand but that is all.

Kayla has two horses that she loves dearly, who are being cared for by myself, and a few other really good people in Kayla’s life. If you can help at all with feeding and agistment fees that would really help out her family. RacingSA have kindly said they can reimburse for the cost of feed for the time being and we are truly grateful! At this stage we are unsure of how long her horses will need to be cared for nor do we know if/when Kayla will recover

Kayla’s Mum, Sharni is expecting a baby and has just started maternity leave early (unpaid) so she is able to be with Kayla every day. She has informed me that she is doing it tough financially and is very worried she won’t be able to afford much to help Kayla in any way.

At this stage it looks like the recovery road for Kayla is no doubt going to be a long and costly one. Workcover can only pay for so much and doesn’t help out the rest of Kayla’s support network so if you can help, please don’t hesitate.
