Kabanda children’s home - “save a child’s hope”
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Sasha, and I’m raising money on behalf of Kabanda Rogers, the selfless and persevering founder of Kabanda children’s home in Uganda. Kabanda himself was an orphan from the age of 7 after losing both of his parents and ever since has been doing everything in his power to help others in similar disadvantageous positions.
Kabanda children’s home has now developed into an orphanage housing 60+ young children and counting who are in desperate need of help and support. A lot of children in Uganda have been abandoned by their parents who were unable to physically or financially support them, or died because of diseases. Children in these unfortunate circumstances end up homeless and foraging for food in garbage without anyone looking after them, doing everything they can to survive. If Kabanda or other orphanages don’t bring them in, then they are subject to further poverty, abuse, starvation, disease, child labour and likely death.
It is Kabanda’s mission to help as many young children as he can, by providing them with as much nutritious food and clean water as possible, as well as clothes, medication, shelter, education and mosquito netting, which is what your money will contribute towards providing. Additionally Kabanda has future plans to purchase his own land, where he can use the land to farm and further develop their housing.
Even the smallest of donations will go a long way and you should be at ease to know that your money has helped a child in a meaningful way.
