Help Ali get Top Surgery
Dear community and friends,
I decided to get Top Surgery! It’s been in my head for many years, and I feel it’s the next step to feel right in my body and aligned with myself.
My name is Ali, I’m a nonbinary transmasc living in Berlin.
As long as I can remember, my breasts have been causing me stress and making me uncomfortable. It was a long journey to realize my gender identity and that I am suffering from gender dysphoria and body dysmorphia. For so long, I thought this icky feeling was part of my life, and there was nothing I could do about it.
I am now wearing binders for 5 years and have had just enough of the discomfort that comes with it, while never having a completely flat chest.
Sometimes, I find the right outfit that gives the illusion of a flat chest, and when I look in the mirror, I feel like it’s me. I want to always have that feeling—to feel at home in my own body! So, I decided to get a mastectomy this fall.
The surgeon I found is in Portugal and offers the same procedure I could have here in Germany for a much cheaper price.
I have some savings that I will use, and will raise money through Berlin’s events to help me cover the cost.
I request your help covering medical costs (surgery + anesthesia + compress binder), transportation, and accommodation, which I will also pay for with my savings. Any contribution, even a small one, will help.
I am deeply thankful for the community and friends who have already been supporting me with starting this process, and I thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
