Mirian Dun es una abuelita venezolana de 83 años, conocida por su corazón noble y generoso. Durante casi 50 años trabajó como enfermera en el hospital público más grande de Venezuela, dedicando su vida a atender a niños de bajos recursos. Muchas veces, Mirian usaba su propio dinero para comprar medicamentos y compartía su comida con quienes más lo necesitaban. Su vocación de servicio y entrega dejó una huella profunda en su comunidad.
Hoy, estando viuda y jubilada, Mirian se enfrenta a un momento muy difícil tras ser diagnosticada con cáncer de colon. El sistema de salud público en Venezuela está colapsado, sin materiales ni equipos para atender a los pacientes, lo que ha obligado a Mirian y a sus hijas a costear todos los gastos médicos por sus propios medios. Los gastos diarios han crecido hasta convertirse en una carga imposible de manejar solos. Mirian necesita exámenes, estudios, procedimientos, medicamentos y terapias como quimioterapia y radioterapia con urgencia para aliviar sus dolores y recuperar su salud.
Sus tres hijas, Mary, Jenny y Dayana, la apoyan incondicionalmente: Mary y Jenny la cuidan y acompañan a sus citas, mientras Dayana trabaja arduamente para ayudar con los gastos. Sin embargo, la situación ha superado la capacidad económica de la familia. Por eso, recurrimos a la solidaridad de quienes puedan ayudar a que Mirian reciba el tratamiento que tanto necesita.

For nearly 50 years, she worked as a nurse at the largest public hospital in Venezuela, dedicating her life to caring for children from low-income families. Many times, Mirian used her own money to buy medicine and shared her food with those most in need. Her spirit of service and dedication left a deep mark on her community.
Today, as a widow and retiree, Mirian faces a very difficult time after being diagnosed with colon cancer. The public health system in Venezuela is collapsed, with no materials or equipment to care for patients, which has forced Mirian and her daughters to pay all medical expenses on their own. Daily costs have grown into an impossible burden to manage alone. Mirian urgently needs tests, studies, procedures, medications, and therapies such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy to relieve her pain and recover her health.
Her three daughters, Mary, Jenny, and Dayana, support her unconditionally: Mary and Jenny care for her and accompany her to appointments, while Dayana works hard to help with expenses. However, the situation has exceeded the family's financial capacity. That is why we turn to the solidarity of those who can help Mirian receive the treatment she so desperately needs.
