Joe Flowers' Medical Fund

Joe has been a loyal Cherry Republic employee for the last 3 years and an integral part of the success of our Glen Arbor Cafe as a Line Cook. During the Holiday season, Joe also works at our Warehouse location in Empire packing boxes for our commercial and residential accounts. He is a valued member of our tight-knit Cherry Republic family. His family is also prominent in out Northern Michigan community.


Joe was recently hospitalized with a serious blood condition that has not yet been diagnosed. He has spent the last 15 days in ICU enduring multiple tests. This has been very taxing on both him and his family. Everyday, all of us await for news that a diagnosis has been made so that treatment can begin.


With the limited information we have regarding his insurance status, we do know that his hospital stay for the duration up to this point and with missed work, will cause a severe financial hardship upon the family. At this time, there is no indication that he will be able to return home soon.


Cherry Republic is reaching out to you at this time with the hope that we can successfully advocate on Joe’s behalf. The need for emergency funds is absolutely necessary for Joe’s family to meet their day-to-day needs.
