Joseph Fernandez Sr. Memorial Fund

Aloha friends and ohana,

It hurts me to ask, but our family humbly ask for help with funeral costs and medical bills for my dad and our family. My dad was a simple man. He didn’t have life insurance, or a retirement fund, or even savings to support his family in time of need. He has been on disability for years due to injuries and surgeries to his back, and spine. He would survive on social security, and was unable to save money due to his fixed income.

With this tragic, and sudden event, loosing him to a drunk driver at the young age of 69, and the injuries sustained by his step daughter, Mikayla, who is on a long, hard road to recovering from this horrific accident. Mikayla was in the car at the time of the accident. She has sustained head injuries, broken ribs, and other physical and psychological damage. She will take time to heal. She was also a financial contributor to the family, so she will not be able to work, or possibly ever work again. We are praying for her speedy recovery, but it will take time.

We humbly ask our friends, ohana, and community to come together to help alleviate some of the financial burden that we, as a family has incurred, and will incur in the upcoming months and years. It pains me to ask for charity from you all, but we have no other means to handle the beast standing before us. Please help if you can. Every little bit counts! Every donation will be greatly appreciated.
