Medical Mission to Tanzania, Africa

Donation protected
Hello friends and family!!  As most of you know, in 2014, I was blessed with the oppurtunity to join with Lighthouse Church in a medical mission to West Africa. Below are just a few photos of that life changing trip.  With a team of pastors, doctors, and nurses we were able to provide medical care and spread the word of God to hundreds of natives in Gunea-Bissau.  Because of the Ebola outbreak during our time in West Africa last year we had to end our clinic a few days early for the safety of our team. But good news!!!  I have been fortunate enough to be invited to join the team again this year, and we're headed to East Africa! Tanzania to be exact!!  And since I graduate nursing school this month, I'll get to be on the team as a nurse this year!  Our mission again will be to build a small church in a local community, use the church by day to provide medical care to those that have no means or access to medical care, and have church services by night to spread Jesus' love.  We partner with local pastors, and the services are given in a mixture of English and the native language.  It was because of the love and generosity of all of you that this trip was a possiblilty for me last year.  If you believe in our mission and would like to help fund my trip this year, I would be extremely grateful. Prayers are always welcome for our team and for the native families we are traveling to care for.  May you all have a blessed 2015!!

This is one part of the building we used as clinic during the day, and a church by night.  This room was packed full of people from 9am-5pm everyday.  I was truly an amazing experience being able to provide even the most basic care to the underpriveledged in this village.

So many women came in with their babies seeking vitamins and breast feeding counseling.  I, of course, tried to hold every single baby that came through our door :) They were such gorgeous, sweet little things!

Below is myself, Dr. Bob, and Lisa, one of our nurses taking a snack break outside the clinic.  It looks so empty behind us becasue everyone is lined up for the clinic behind the camera!!  The actual village looked like a ghost town when we were there!
