In June of 2025, Katie Fry, was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer. Katie is a beloved and dedicated friend and community member to pretty much all who meet her, and we are now calling on that community to support Katie through her treatment and recovery. We are asking for $40,000, an amount which will cover, among many things, the $16,000 out of pocket costs Katie must pay before her insurance covers treatment, as well as supporting the general cost of living while Katie undergoes treatment. Katie will be forced to miss work during treatment and in the uncertain time after chemotherapy when the body is recovering from a long and difficult fight. As a Registered Behavior Technician, Katie provides invaluable work utilizing her compassion, talents, and passion for others to support her clients. Anyone who works in childcare knows the full body work that goes into caring for children. The more funds we are able to raise, the more time Katie will be able to rest and allow her body to heal before returning full strength to the job she loves without fear of significant financial hardship.
