On March 22nd, 2025, our dear friend, Jessica Vicinski, was diagnosed with liver failure. Jess is in immediate need of a B+ DONOR LIVER TRANSPLANT.

Jess has always been a free spirit with a bold personality. Thanks to Jess we all have countless unforgettable memories growing up. I think we can all attest to the fact that she is the true definition of a ride or die friend, though we’d prefer our friend live. (For those of you with dark humor). We don’t want to lose our friend. Rick and Tracey don’t want to lose their only daughter. Ellie CAN’T lose her mother and SOLE providing parent. We won’t give up in our pursuit to find a B+ LIVER DONOR match so please share online, spread the word, send carrier pigeons, ask the person behind you at Walmart what their blood type is. Jess is currently in Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, awaiting a LIVER TRANSPLANT. Despite tireless efforts and collaboration from medical specialists it was, unfortunately, determined that a B+ LIVER TRANSPLANT is Jess’s only option. Jess is a single mother and sole provider to her daughter, Elliott (Ellie), and currently receives no compensation or assistance in raising Elliott. Furthermore, Jess has been continuously in and out of the hospital for the past month without income. This has been an unexpected and difficult journey for Jess, Elliott, and Jess’s support system.

Jess provides for herself and Elliott by working in the Service Industry and does not have the luxury of PTO or company sponsored healthcare. This has resulted in Jess having to balance paying for private healthcare (insurance that still won’t cover all the costs to be incurred) along with the usual costs to survive for her and Elliott including housing and childcare. Jess is medically unable to work and therefore has no income currently. Jess is fortunate to have an army of support behind her but her expenses continue to accrue. This struggle will continue as Jess remains in the hospital/medically unable to work, awaiting a B+ LIVER DONOR match. Jess has a long recovery journey once she receives her B+ LIVER therefore the struggle to make ends meet will continue.

Jess has a bachelor’s degree in psychology which she utilized as a peer support specialist, giving back to her community. Jess has been a wonderful mother and provider to Ellie, strong in her means of independence, so the idea of Jess asking for help is difficult for her. Therefore, Jess’s support system is asking to help assist in alleviating stressors to ensure the best outcome for Jessica’s treatment and healing during post operation and recovery.
