Join Lyanna's Circle of Hope in Her Cancer Battle

Our dear friend, Lyanna Flucas, 48, needs a helping hand. Lyanna, a vibrant spirit who always fills the room with her infectious zest for life, is a dedicated mom, an animal lover, a craft enthusiast, and a devoted wife. As a woman of intellect and perseverance, she seamlessly transitioned her career from engineering to finance, sprinkling her unique sparkle wherever she went.

On May 17, 2023, Lyanna's world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, an aggressive IDC hormone positive Her 2 Low type, which has spread to her bones.

Throughout the challenging ordeal of fighting breast cancer since her original diagnosis in 2019, Lyanna has shown incredible strength. She's stood strong through chemotherapy (AC & Taxol), radiation, four surgeries, and adjuvant Anastrozole treatment and it seemed like she was in remission. Yet, the journey is far from over, and she needs our support now more than ever.

Beside Lyanna every step of the way is Rick, her loving husband of 19 years. His support and steadfast love have been an unwavering source of strength for Lyanna as she navigates this difficult journey.

As Lyanna bravely fights her battle with cancer, she's facing a significant financial hurdle. Transitioning from working full-time to taking time off to fight the disease means a drastic reduction in income for the family. As the daily grind of maintaining a household becomes harder, she will need to hire help to assist. With annual medical bills of more than $100,000 and additional expenses for adjunct therapies and acupuncture treatments, it's time for us to rally around her.

Lyanna isn't just a cancer warrior; she's a mom who wears her heart on her sleeve. While her son plays hockey (Elmbrook Eagles/Brookfield Stars), her daughters cheer their hearts out for Hamilton High School Varsity. And, even in the midst of her own battles, Lyanna has taken on a new role – she's become a foster mom, offering love and care to those in need.

Our mission is to raise funds to lighten Lyanna's load. This includes helping cover her medical expenses, trips to out of state for treatment, the cost of adjunct therapies, and when needed hiring help to maintain her home.
