Pastor John Turner for Medical Expense

I know at this time there is so much going on in the world that is very disturbing and unsettling which makes it so important that we take time to help others in need.

Some of you may know my younger brother, John Turner, his wife Connie, along with their two wonderful kids, Carmen and Elise. You may know them by attending the New Springs Church of God of Prophecy in Oliver Springs where they currently pastor, you may know them from the past, you may be a friend or you may be family, you may be a work acquaintance, you may know them from church functions but if you do know this family, you know that they serve God with everything within them, they strive to serve others and love with a Christ like love! This is a family that takes their “pastoral” role very seriously and is always putting others before themselves.

Some may know that John has a very uncommon disease called Castlemans disease which has wreaked havoc on his body. In 2018 John had a tumor in his throat and he underwent strenuous radiation, he then had surgery to remove the golf ball size tumor, he had another surgery and had steroid shots in his throat which led to John having a tracheotomy.

Since then the Castlemans has moved to his left lung. On June 29th John is scheduled to have half of the lung removed and was told this is a very painful and serious surgery. John will be out of work for several months, therefor Connie will be taking off work for several weeks to care for John. So as you can image during this battle they are going to be in need of much prayer which I know they will appreciate.

I also know as with any medical situation not only is the family facing the unknown but they are facing the expense of all of the doctor bills, hospital bills, medication, traveling expense, etc. and it does not take long for the medical bills to drown you.

When I first asked John and Connie if I could please setup a Go Fund Me page to help with expenses, their first response was “No, we don’t want to upset people.” Well after asking again and again they finally agreed, they in no way asked this to be done for them.

So with that being said, if you feel it in your heart to give, if God is leading you to give, or if you just love this wonderful family, I am asking you to please follow your heart and Gods leading as you give. I know all funds will be going for medical expense purposes and will be much appreciated.
