Amy Scherer-French, a devoted, mother, wife, and business owner, needs our help. As she prepares to battle a recent cancer diagnosis, the financial strain is mounting. Amy is the heart and soul of the B Sharp cut co, an upscale men's salon that she worked tirelessly to create. But now, with her cancer diagnosis, she's facing overwhelming medical bills that her newly purchased health insurance won't cover because it's not yet in effect.

A Dream Interrupted

Amy's Journey is one of resilience and passion. Born in a small town of deadwood, South Dakota, she's always been a trailblazer. The first in her family to attend college, Amy earned a degree in English and even began a PhD program. Her life took many turns, including becoming a stay at home. Mom, a volunteer leader in the breast-feeding community, and award-winning photographer.

In 2014 Amy moved back to Rapid City, where she pursued her dream of opening a men's salon. She enrolled in Cosmotology school and, in 2024 , began the remodel of the B Sharp cut co with the help of her husband Darin French. Her vision was to fill the need for a upscale walk-in men's salon, Amy wanted to create a space that was more than just a salon – a place where men could feel pampered and appreciated.

Facing Cancer Head On

Just two months after moving her salon to a new location, Amy received devastating news: she had cancer. With Salon rents to pay and the ongoing cost of remodeling, the financial burden became overwhelming. Despite these challenges, Amy continues to support her family and her team of barbers and Stylists, who are still building their clientele.

Amy's treatment is expensive. She has undergone multiple biopsies and is following a strict diet to reduce inflammation before her upcoming surgery. She's also receiving IV supplements to support her body during this challenging time.

A Pillar Of The Community

Amy has always been there for others. She's known for bringing people together, promoting and uplifting local businesses, and showing up for her community, now, she needs our support. Amy's husband, Darin, and her three children are by her side, along with their five adopted cats, but the financial burden is growing every day. The concerns of her surgeon over trying to self pay, allowed Amy to agree to, financial support through this platform.
