Jerk Machine creates a Culinary & Entrepreneurial Incubator

4 Years ago: during COVID 19, YOU showed us an overwhelming wave of kindness by donating to our GoFundMe campaign. With the funds we collected from you, we were able to pay the overdue rent, stabilize the Restaurant, keeping the doors open and operating for 4 years, however, it was quite evident that we were not operating at sustainable levels. We pushed through anyway and continued to serve our customers and our community, including providing hot meals for our weekly feedings provided for the homeless and food insecure populations, and training youth in our community.

Fast forward to today:

Everything came to a halt on March 30, where it was just not possible to continue with all the broken pieces. A broken A/C, broken equipment and skyrocketing inflation. We decided to close Lauderhill to renovate the space and bring it back with an updated environment for you our customers and community.

We started the renovations and two weeks in, we had a water main break which ate up most of our renovation budget. We are current with the rent, however, we would like to continue the renovation process and we are asking you to consider being a generous donor once again.

We are anxious to reopen the Restaurant and as we say in Jamaica - "every likkle mickle mek a muckle" - so I am asking you to kindly consider supporting us once again, helping us to get back to business serving our authentic Jerk Cuisine.

Jerk Machine is resilient and has served this community with heart and soul for over 35 years. Jerk Machine has always been a giving company and continues to make a difference through creating preventative programs including a culinary training program for our at-risk youth in the community and continues to be a champion for fostering growth in small business in the community and is quick to support non-profit organizations like Homeless Hearts and Aiding AIDS, Inc., providing HOT AND NUTRITIOUS MEALS for the Homeless and others who are food insecure.
