Jeremy’s heart transplant/ Hospital bills fund

Jeremy, who is a loving husband, step-dad, son and brother, has really hit a hard time. He has done so many things right with his life- he frequently runs, lifts weights, swims, eats healthy, rarely drinks, and has never smoked. At only 32 years old, this has been a complete shock to all of us. 

Two weeks ago, Jeremy came home on friday evening from a week of training with SCE&G, and was feeling a little tired. As the weekend progressed, he began feeling worse and ended up in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.  The inital prognosis was pneumonia, and was being treated as such. After ending up in the ICU, he was transported to MUSC- where we were told that his heart was functioning at only 10% of it’s capacity. 

He was given IV meds and he showed great signs of improvement. He was even walking all around the hospital. After being taken off of them, he began to deteriorate quickly and was moved to CV-ICU.  It has been determined that his heart is not improving, and will need a new one. Currently, the specialist team that is working for him are deciding if he will be given a mechanical pump and put on the donor list- but go home, or stay in the hospital and go on the donor list. Either way, Jeremy and Kerry are looking at massive hospital bills, as well as potentially being out of work for an extended period of time. Not only him, but Kerry has been by his side every step of the way, and has been unable to bring income in as well. This fund is for Jeremy and Kerry to continue with their lives and not lose everything they have worked for due to a financial setback. Christmas is right around the corner, and his will help with that as well. Thank you so much for anything you can help with. Every little bit counts, and a little bit goes a long way!!
