Hello,  my name is Erika and I am Jay's girlfriend. Jay had an unfortunate accident snowboarding and broke the scaphoid bone in his wrist. After seeing a hand specialist, he learned his wrist would need surgery. This will require his scaphoid bone to be realigned, drilled through, and held together with one or two permanent screws. If he's unable to get that bone repaired, he will have to live with extremely limited function of his left hand, and painful arthritis for the rest of his life.

He lives a super active lifestyle, and this injury limits most of his favorite activities (rock climbing, surfing, snowboarding, cooking, mountain biking, yoga). Surgery is really the only option at this point so we can hopefully get him back to the life he lived before the accident. It's hard to be prepared for such an unexpected injury, and we hope that we can get by with a little help from our friends. We would appreciate any donation you can help us with!
