Java Junction Strasburg Fire Relief
Donation protected
On Oct 2, 2018 at around 3pm a devastating fire began in the building (historic Massasoit Hall, 9 E. Main St) that housed a few local Strasburg businesses to include Java Junction - a staple of the Strasburg, PA community. Most damage was isolated to the kitchen though it’s not been determined what caused the fire. The restaurant was not in operation that day. This unexpected event has affected the whole community as Java Junction has become a 2nd home for many, not to mention the owners themselves. I hope you will join me in supporting this family as they attempt to rebuild.
Owner Scott and Joanna Johnson describe their business on the restaurant website:
Whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a round of lattes, visiting Java Junction is always an extraordinary experience. Relax with family or friends over a great cup of Java, or indulge with one of our signature burgers, fresh salads, or delectable desserts.
Owners Scott and Joanna Johnson are always there to welcome you to their "home". The Java Junction Mobile Bistro is what started it all. The couple first started out with a concession trailer peddeling Breakfast sandwiches, Baked goods, and of course Java Junction Now I Can Function Coffee. They wanted to eventually have a brick and mortar location. They did it within 6 months! The Bakery and Coffee shop OCB CAKES opened in Strasburg in September 2011.
The popularity of their coffee and baked goods were recieved well and the demand was high, and when they started serving breakfast at the tiny bakery, the response was overwhelming and the couple knew they would need to expand again. In 2015 another opportunity presented itself and JAVA JUNCTION COFFEE BAR + GRILL was soon in the works.
Java Junction opened in September 2015, and is now a meeting place for locals and those just passing thru.
"Our shop is like an extention of our home, there is just something so special about it"...Joanna Johnson
This is truely a family owned business, and we appreciate the support of our community and our customers" Scott Johnson
