Jasmine's Track Fund

Jasmine started off in this world a little earlier than expected.  Upon her birth, all I wanted was for her to grow to be healthy and a good person to all those she meets.  While I expected to spend countless hours shopping for dolls and makeup, I never thought I would be raising a girl whose aspirations included being an Olympic sprinter.  That dream is one very few can achieve, and requires a lot of work.

The years have passed rapidly, and I have seen Jasmine ascend from a four-year-old running in local YMCA track meets, to a very athletic teenager running in Oregon with her school track team.  Also, due to an injury last year, she participated in a limited capacity at the USATF National Junior Olympics in Sacramento, California.  While she was disappointed with the results, she gained exposure to what is required to compete on an elite level.  She was part of the relay teams that set Idaho State Meet records, resulting in the much coveted 2017 Idaho State Track and Field Championship.  That was a very proud moment as a parent.

The coaching she has received at school and through off season conditioning has assisted in improved strength, speed, and performance.  Jasmine is driven and dedicated to work hard to be the very best she can be.  I am proud of her determination as an athlete, and the young lady she has become.

To become a great athlete requires year around training and competition, some of which is outside of the local area.  I would like to see her continue to realize her dream with the passion she has for the one sport and activity she loves the most.  Track has been instrumental in her social and athletic development, not to mention a strong motivation for her to remain focused on academics.

I have supported her with all I have, but for continued access to the resources available, we would like to invite you to help support her as well.  No matter how great or small, any assistance will go a long way in Jasmine’s pursuit of her dream.  I would like to see her continue to realize her dream with the passion she has for the one sport and activity she lives for.  Track has been instrumental in her social and athletic development, not to mention a strong motivation for her to remain focused on academics.

I continue to support her with the resources I have available, but, at this level, funding the team dues, clothing and travel expenses become an issue for me to be able to see that she continues her journey and has every opportunity available.  As a year- round participant, she will, hopefully, be able to travel with her track team to meets around the country as well as competing in the United States Junior Olympics in Lawrence, Kansas, in July.

If you can find it in your heart to donate whatever you can to help, we would be forever grateful.  Thank you for your consideration.
