In Loving Memory of Janice Rose Walas
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Austin Mclean. My Grandma and the woman who raised me as her own, Janice Walas, was regretfully diagnosed with COPD and needed to place stents in her heart. Despite those health conditions, she unexpectedly passed on my 19th Birthday, December 31st, 2023. She was a good Catholic woman that God took from this world too soon. She was an extremely loving grandmother to not only her biological grandchildren -myself and my 11-year-old sister Rosslyn, but to everyone who crossed her path. Anyone, even a stranger could rely on Janice for something as small as a ride to the doctor’s office or a place to stay. She was always there, without judgment for anyone and everyone, but with open arms and a warm smile. Grandma Janice was more than just a grandmother to Rosslyn and me; she was happily able to do the things my mother couldn’t. Unfortunately, Rosslyn and I are her only family members left other than her sister, a few distant relatives, and one absent daughter. Because Grandma played such a vital part in raising us, I want to make her memory as special and profound as the impact that she had on everyone she came across in her life. As a pre-teen and a young adult who wasn’t prepared for such an expense, we are kindly and respectfully asking for any donations to help reach our goal of $5,000 to cover her general funeral expenses, a mass, and her remaining bills. Any amount is greatly appreciated, we thank you for your time and sentiments.
