To Our Friends and Family,
I am writing this to tell you that Jim Shultz was called to home suddenly on Saturday, June 20th 2020.
Jim and I had 20 wonderful years together. We both met during a time in our lives that were pretty hard. Once he and I saw each other for the first time, it was love at first sight, I knew he was my soul mate and I, his.
Jim was a strong, loving , caring, stubborn man as most of you know. The past five years, Jim's life was hard, as he suffered in pain with surgeries such as, back, bypass, vascular, etc. , he was recently diagnosed with cancer. In which, he was to begin his treatment in the near future however, God knew that he would not have been strong enough to endure this journey. He mentioned recently that he was tired of getting up out of the water and then being knocked down again and again.
As a Marine, his mindset was "Nothing was going to ever take me down" and that he would fight this disease 100% so that he would be here for his family and that there was so much more to experience and to celebrate in his life.
As the Marines say, "Pain is just weakness leaving the body" I know now that Jim is no longer in any pain and that he is smiling down on us all from heaven, playing a beautiful melody on his guitar.
I am grateful that Jim was able to spend his last day celebrating his birthday and Father's Day with his family. He will be truly missed by everyone.

After spending money on hospital bills, while Jim was sick, funds are tight right now and I want to make sure that ourJim gets the send off he deserves. Anything you are able to contribute to help defray the cost for the Memorial procedures will be greatly appreciated. Funds will be used to cover the end of life procedures and the funeral home fees.
