More than 820 people are reported dead after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on Friday. The earthquake — the most devastating to hit Indonesia since 2004 — was followed by some 170 aftershocks and a tsunami, which sent waves as high as 20 feet surging across the islands, toppling homes, hotels, shopping malls and mosques. With people trapped in the rubble, the numbers of fatalities are expected to rise. (UNICEF)
