A Soul Full of Sunshine

The holidays are about giving back to those in need. This Go Fund me is dedicated to Trista, my sister-in-law, who has been very ill this year. She has two kids, Carter and Emma (my nephew and niece).


Trista is in her mid-thirties and has been through four strokes. Her fourth stroke occurred pretty recently and has affected her sight, speech, and ability to read. After her third stroke, she was out of work for three or four months and was unable to immediately return to nursing. Due to her most recent stroke and brain bleed, she is also running out of FMLA. Right now, we are just not sure what to expect. Trista loves being a nurse, but it appears that nursing may have to be put on hold until this is all over. As far as treatment, we just don't know what is going to happen. Surgery has been brought up by her doctor multiple times, but finding the right time to have surgery and making the right medical decisions has been difficult for her. Also, her having a clotting disorder doesn't make things any easier.

On another note, Trista has been living on her own with the kids and their pets. Her stroke and brain bleed have affected her ability to live on her own especially financially. Right now, moving out of her house means losing her pets. Not just her pets... Carter and Emma's pets as well. 

It's hard to put a price on what is to come, but anything helps. This includes Prayer. If this fund goes well, These funds will go towards her house note and food. If her goal is not close to being reached, it will simply go towards her medical bills.
