Injured in Afghanistan and Fighting at Home.

I was a civilian contractor working in Afghanistan in 2012. I was injured in a Taliban rocket attack on June 12 2012. I have been in an 8 year long fight with the US Department of labor and my employers Insurance company.  I have had 3 unsuccessful surgeries 2 ankle surgeries and a failed spinal fusion which has left me unable to work. I waited 2 years for a Federal Department of labor Administration judge to hear my case, that was in August of 2019.  It was originally docketed in Aug 2017.  The average time for the Judges to rule on these cases is between 7 and 14 months

January of 2017 the insurance company filed 2 false claims with the Department of labor one lying about what I earned overseas and the other that I refused medical treatment, which ended my Medical Treatment and  my Compensation payments.  After being ruled by the Department of Labors rehab services office as unemployable and unable to receive job training due to my injuries and physical restrictions.

 I have survived for 2 years with no income and only by the help of a few dear friends and neighbors.  I have submitted 38 employment applications to various employers with no call backs. Likely because I have a 8 year hole in my resume or  I submit them in person they see my condition and that I walk with a cane. I have tried to get on with Lyft, Uber and every online food delivery service, only to be turned down because my Truck is too old.  I have sold most everything of any value I own to make it this far.  I have cashed out my last retirement fund . Social security Disability here is a 2 year process for approval and social services here are not single male friendly.  I never expected my case to be rescheduled by the court three times and the Judge to continue it one more time.

I never thought it would come to this. First living month to  month then week to week , and now day to day. This is my second winter without a furnace, and last summer my first without AC.  I live in my living room to keep my electricity use at a minimum because I use a space heater for heat.  I ration my water use along with other utilities to try and keep them as low as possible.  I am now in danger of losing my house. ,

I had always wondered how this type of thing happens to people, Unfortunately now I know.  I have 30 days to get current with my mortgage . I know 10K is a lot of money but that should get my current and provide another 2-5 months of assistance.  Please contribute  it you can and if not I understand.
