Independence Wheelchair Fund

I have a combination of ailments that make walking painful, exhausting, time-consuming, and difficult. Doctors don't quite have my situation figured out, but my mobility is rapidly deteriorating. Whatever is attacking the strength in my legs is doing the same in my arms, leaving me unable to operate a manual wheelchair. I have found a power wheelchair that is lightweight and collapsible, meaning I can lift it in and out of my car if no one is around to help. My hope is that having a power chair will enable me to return to school and finish my degree, without having to worry about whether I can physically make the trek across campus. I also would be able to access public transit, which is something I am currently unable to do because I cannot walk the distance between bus or train stops. I could also get a job, as I'd be able to propel myself through the office or store or whatever. This chair means the possibility of independent living. If you could help me with this goal, I would greatly appreciate it.
