Matt Posner dedicated his life to others. Coaching young athletes was his passion. When his 3 boys were small, you would find him on every ball field, mentoring, coaching and dedicating himself to anyone who needed him. Matt is known for his fiery passion and huge heart with a deep devotion to uplift others around him.

When his two boys played competitive College Baseball and Basketball, Matt provided resources for additional training and mentorship which resulted in his son Jason starting as a pitcher on his College Team.

Matt was deeply involved in collegiate sports at FAU & volunteered his expertise and time coaching and using visualization training for the Volleyball team. He initiated fundraising campaigns to continue providing exceptional mentorship and team building to enrich the existing athletic program. As an alumni of FAU, he held season tickets for Basketball & Football, and regularly attended games for Baseball. His goal was to consistently bring awareness to Florida Atlantic University.

When you were with Matt you always knew you were loved. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, and the big bear of a man would be brought to tears when he knew you appreciated him. He bonded with many of the players and formed lasting friendships with many of the coaches.

So today we keep his legacy alive by supporting our beloved FAU Athletes with "The Matt Posner Athlete's Fund". Bridging the gap in College Sports to provide funding for team-building activities, motivational and additional mentorship, as well as sharing the spark of life Matt brought to everyone he touched.
