Jason died unexpectadly on July 5, 2017 in a house fire at his home. His 2 dogs, Gunner and Barron perished in the fire with him. Jay loved his dogs like they were his children and would do anything for them. He was very involved in Boxer Rescue Groups, and also fosterd dogs on his own. There wasn't a person who knew Jay that didn't know his dogs. His family, friends and co-workers far and wide miss him terribly.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to get as many Pet O2 masks into our local Fire departments and EMS vehicles as possible, both in Buffalo NY and in Spencer North Carolina. These specially-designed animal masks can be used both on conscious pets that have suffered from smoke inhalation and pets that need to be resuscitated after losing consciousness from exposure to the dangerous toxic fumes.
We would like to purchase the masks by late summer so that during a celebration of Jay's life we can present them to our local departments. I plan on trasferring half of the funds raised to the rescue in North Carolina to purchase the masks that they will deliver to the local Fire Department that assited at the fire at Jason's house, and surrounding areas. The other half of the funds will be used here to purchase masks to go to Cheektowaga, Williamsville, Grand Island, our EMT vehicles and other surrounding departments.
