In Kuwait without a Job

Hi everyone,

My name is Jon, and I recently lost my job due to the global pandemic.  I'm originally from the United States, California to be exact.  I came to Kuwait in December of 2019 for a job opportunity to work in a restaurant.  Things were going well, then the Corona Virus came to Kuwait, and by mid-March everything was shut down.  At the beginning of April I was told by the company that I was being laid off due to the economic conditions.  I'm currently still stuck in Kuwait as I await for the country to reopen, so that I can leave.

I have not been paid since January !  The company that I worked for here in Kuwait has a horrible record of paying their employees very late !  We have repeatedly asked for our February and March salaries, yet the company has repeatedly claimed to not have any money, a claim which none of us believe !  

I have a wife, young daughter and mother-in-law and father-in-law that rely upon my support, therefore I started this campaign as a way to help myself and my family get through these rough times.  I have been applying to and will continue to apply for jobs, however the market as we all know is very tough right now.
