In the United States, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Our strong and loving mom was originally diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2012, and in 2016 her cancer returned and had metastasized in various places in her body, primarily in her liver. She fought for nearly seven years until this April when she passed away. Breast cancer has altered the course of my entire family’s lives and that damage cannot be undone. However, one of our biggest hopes is to honor our mothers’ life and do our part to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. In doing so, we hope to change the course of another family’s life because no one should have to lose their mom, wife, sister friend or daughter to this horrible disease.
This October during breast cancer awareness month, we are raising money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. This is where my mom received a majority of her care.
Thank you!
