Hurricane Florence Dog Transport
Wash That Dog! is packing a car full of supplies and driving to North Carolina to help the dogs of Hurricane Florence. We will be returning Wednesday evening. We will coordinate locally at Wash That Dog! before and after. The amount of donations received will determine the number of dogs we can help. If there is a large enough amount, we will be renting a transport van to accommodate more dogs. If this is possible we will need additional supplies (kennels, water bowls, towels, leashes/collars/harnesses)
We will also need FOSTERS, RESCUES, and ADOPTERS once we return. Dogs will be transported to Alexandria, VA so we are looking for fosters/rescues in the D.C. area. Adopters from other areas will be considered. if you have something else you are willing to contribute please contact us as well. Besides a donation of whatever amount, the #1 thing you can do to help: PLEASE SHARE!! THE MORE PEOPLE WHO SEE THIS, THE MORE ANIMALS WE CAN HELP!! Please consider donating whatever you can to help the dogs affected by Hurricane Florence -- no amount is too large or too small. The money donated to this GoFundMe will be used for for gas and expenses to transport animals from the areas affected by Hurricane Florence. 100% of these donations will be used to help the animals. This money will be used for food, water, medications and vet bills. Any money that is not used for supplies during the trip or raised after will be donated to the Humane Society of Carteret County, whose facility was severely damaged during the hurricane.
LOCAL DONATIONS NEEDED: canned or dry dog/cat food, meat-flavored baby food, pill-pockets, non-instant rice, pet carriers/crates, blankets, and cleaning supplies (paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, dawn soap)
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
