Single Moms Farm Destroyed in Flood
Donation protected
Kathleen Mooney is single mom of an eleven year old son, Max. They earn their living through organic farming (EIEIO Farm) in Wimberley, Tx. Just as they were recovering from the May flooding, they were hit by another flash flood.
Please see EIEIO's website, http://www.eieiotx.com
There has been excessive damage to the farm operation, as well as to their home. They have also lost their vehicle. The funds will be used to replant their crops, replace their chickens and honey bees, repair fencing and out buildings, and to plant fruit trees.
They need the money immediately so that they can make the farm operational as soon as possible.
This means survival for Kathleen and Max. Kathleen's passion is growing local organic produce and to produce products to sell in the Wimberley community and the surrounding areas. Kathleen has been brought to her knees through this adversity, but wants to stand strong and give Max a legacy based on resilience and an education in organic and sustainable farming.
Kathleen is heartbroken that she could only sit and watch as all of her hard work was washed away.
Kathleen is immensley grateful for the human angels, friends and neighbors that showed up immediately and started the clean-up.
She will be sincerely grateful for any and all help she receives that will enable her to re-build.
