House fire fund for Yarmouth firefighter
Jesse Sherman is a Yarmouth firefighter who has served on the department for 16 years. Recently he had a kitchen fire in his new home he purchased in September where he lives with his three children and his dog, Frank. Unfortunately while trying to delight in forbidden treats off the kitchen counter, Frank accidentally turned the stovetop on resulting in a fire. Thankfully everyone is safe, but the damage from the smoke means massive cleaning and restoration to the entire house including floors, walls, ceilings, mattresses...most everything is being torn out and replaced. The restoration process is long and this means Jesse and his family are temporarily displaced to a hotel while the work is being done. The four of them will not be able to celebrate the holidays in their new home and a lot of the expenses for hotels, hopefully a winter rental, takeout food, etc are coming out of pocket. While thankfully insurance will cover the restoration, please consider donating to help Jesse cover some of the unexpected costs of Frank’s culinary failure.
