HH has been working with sex trafficking survivors here in the US since 2011, providing mental health counseling, trauma therapy, housing, life and job skills training and case management. NOW, we are adding equine facilitated therapies and activities - which can help build the trust survivors need to move beyond their history!! We just need some help getting started...

Our objective is to open a new non-profit called HorseWorkPBC. This will be a therapeutic horse farm offering services to foster care kids, veterans, domestic abuse victims and continuing our work with sex trafficking survivors.

The funds will go towards: 1. Leasing a horse farm with stalls, paddocks and covered riding ring so we can provide services through the summer and rain. 2. Feed and care for our horses. We have three horses to start the program with, but will need several more as we get going and gather speed.
3. Pay our staff so they can eat and keep the lights on, too! 4. Cover equestrian activity insurance, additional tack and barn furnishings as necessary. 5. Give us the time we need to build paying clientele that will fund the organization going forward.

Our funding plan has several layers: 1. Develop individual and group clientele able to pay for  equestrian facilitated psychotherapy. Since we have licensed mental health counselors on staff, our services will be billable through insurance. 2. Pursue grants and private donations to underwrite sliding fees for those with limited financial capacity to pay. 3. Establish a skilled and dedicated volunteer base to help and participate in the restoration work. 4. Create a graduated back-to-work program for those whose trauma has sidelined them from the workplace. They can begin again at the horse farm, gain experience and references to be able to move forward. 5. Open a consignment/used tack and clothing store both as an additional source of funding, but also as another employment opportunity for trauma survivors coming through our program.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
