Hope for Carla

As friends and family, we are starting up this fundraiser for Carla

Carla's world was turned upside down in April 2020 when she was diagnosed with stage 2 Inflammatory breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes at the young age of 35.

IBC is a very rare aggressive form of breast cancer, involving 16 weeks of aggressive chemotherapy, extensive surgery (mastectomy), lymph node removal followed by 4 weeks of a high dose of radiation and hormonal treatment.

Carla's treatment was so harsh that it put her at a breaking point. With the push of friends & family and Carla's determination, she got through it and was cancer-free for over a year.

We thought we were over the worst of it, but unfortunately, in November 2021, Carla was rediagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer, which sadly is incurable.

Carla has started treatment again, but there is only so much treatment available here in Ireland that can keep Carla's cancer at bay and hope for the best that it works is where we are at.

After so much research, a treatment facility in Mexico called hope4cancer that can try and treat Carla to prolong her life and give her a chance she deserves as a young woman with her whole life ahead of her.

As her friends and family, we are trying everything to get her over there as fast as possible to give her the best chance she deserves.

Unfortunately, due to Carla's illness over the past 2 years, she has been unable to work, so the harsh and heartbreaking reality is getting Carla to Mexico for the treatment she needs. The substantial amount of money is unrealistic, so we need your help.

With our goal to help Carla as much as possible with alternative treatments, we would greatly appreciate any donation, big or small, to make Carla's treatments possiable.
