Honoring Veng: A Family in Need

Hi everyone,

My name is Cristina. After many kind individuals have asked, Mikayla and I have decided to formally arrange this fundraiser in support of our dear friends and family, Sheila and David.

In February, Sheila and David experienced an irreplaceable loss with the passing of their beloved father, Veng. Veng was a loving father, cherished grandfather, dedicated friend, and most notably, a devoted husband and caretaker for his wife of 37 years, Warlita. Anyone who was lucky enough to have had Veng in their lives knows how deep his dedication to his family ran and how his patience in times of hardship went unmatched. His loss is one that will be felt indefinitely.

Aside from the insurmountable grief of Veng’s unexpected passing, the family has also faced challenges with the ongoing medical care for their mother Warlita. As a two time stroke survivor, Warlita is entirely dependent on the support of her family for medical care. She has spent the better part of the last month working to recuperate her strength through hospital stays and rehabilitation facilities.

Her health is a top priority for the family, not only for her quality of life moving forward, but to ensure she will be able to attend the final services of her beloved husband, with whom she shares an unbreakable bond. After two very long months, Warlita is finally in a stable enough condition to where the family feels ready to proceed with funeral arrangements for Veng.

Sheila and David are tirelessly working to maintain their individual families, the future of their mother’s healthcare, and ensure their father gets the memorial services he deserves.
