Turning pain into purpose — for Kinlee, for Gage, for Acadiana.

This mission is personal.

It started with a Facebook page meant to expose injustice — and evolved into something no one expected. What began as “Tea Talk of Acadiana” quickly became a space for people to share their truth. But after losing my godchild Kinlee to a drunk driver, and my cousin Gage to fentanyl poisoning, I knew this platform had to shift.

Now, it’s time to move with purpose.

We are launching The Pearl Smith Foundation — in memory of Kinlee and Gage ️ — and officially rebranding the page as Tea Talk About Awareness.

What We’re Fighting For:

Through this nonprofit, we’ll help:

Families impacted by sudden tragedy, loss, or trauma

Victims of drunk driving & families affected by fentanyl

Our forgotten elderly, many of whom suffer in silence

Organ donor & recipient families — because giving life should never go unrecognized

This cause runs deep. Gage was an organ donor. Even after his passing, he saved others. That alone inspired this foundation to honor grief, healing, and giving in all its forms.

Why We Need Your Help:

To become a 501(c)(3) and operate as an official nonprofit, we need help covering startup costs — including legal filings, outreach materials, and basic setup fees. People are already reaching out to us for help. This funding will allow us to respond immediately and legally.
