For the past 18 months, Jeremiah Jefferson battled cancer with extraordinary courage. We truly believed we’d have more time.
If you knew Jeremiah, you knew he had a way of turning acquaintances into friendships, and it seemed impossible to go anywhere without him bumping into someone he knew. His unmistakable ear-to-ear smile, joyful laugh, and genuine kindness made people feel seen—and made him someone you never forgot.
Jeremiah was the kind of person wo made everyone around him better, and he lived a life guided by faith and centered on what mattered most: his family. His greatest joy was his wife, Michele, and their children, Matteo (age 15) and Angelina (age 12). Whether he was coaching from the sidelines, playing ball in the backyard, teaching the kids how to fish, tending the garden together, or creating memories through travel and adventure, Jeremiah found happiness in life’s simple moments. Those moments became the lessons his children will carry with them forever.
For the past year and a half, Michele has been Jeremiah's rock. She walked beside him through every appointment, every treatment, every setback and every victory with incredible strength and unwavering love.
Now it’s our turn.
As Michele, Matteo, and Angelina navigate the heartbreaking loss of a devoted husband and father, they also face medical expenses, reduced income during Family & Medical Leave, the loss of Jeremiah’s income, and the challenge of building a new path forward.
Your support will help ease that burden by covering medical and living expenses, supporting Matteo and Angelina’s education, and ensuring they continue participating in the sports and activities their dad loved cheering them on in. Most importantly, your gift will provide Michele the gift that can not be measured: the peace of mind to focus on healing, supporting her children, and taking one day at a time without the constant weight of financial uncertainty.
If Jeremiah ever made you smile, coached your child, lent a hand, shared a laugh, or simply made your day a little brighter, we invite you to honor his memory by supporting the family he loved more than anything.
Every gift—large or small—and every prayer and share of this page is a reminder that Michele, Matteo, and Angelina are surrounded by a community that loves them.
Jeremiah spent his life showing up for others. Together, let’s show up for his family.
Thank you for helping carry forward the legacy of a remarkable husband, father, coach, friend, and a smile that none of us will ever forget.
