Just one short week ago, a beloved, lifelong family friend, Carol Schultz was enjoying the weekend with her family. She awoke early last week unable to get out of bed and struggled to communicate with her daughters. Carol was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit where she underwent numerous procedures, tests, and scans as doctors tried to find a diagnosis, Small Cell Carcinoma. Carol is now thankfully home under hospice care and all who love her are devastated. The emotional impact on her family has been traumatic. They are taking all measures to ensure their Mom spends her final few days with people that love her. The financial burden as a result of this sudden diagnosis has been significant on the family! Thus, close friends have set up this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden on Carol's family for the medical expenses and sadly, the imminent funeral expenses.
