Help Us Say Goodbye to a Beloved Mother, Sister, and Friend

It is with deep sorrow that we share that our beloved Maria Serrano has left us in spirit and mind, though her body remains with us for now. We are now facing the heartbreaking reality of preparing to say goodbye.

Maria was strong-willed, fiery, and unafraid to speak her truth. Beneath that bold exterior was a heart full of love and loyalty. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for the people she loved. She gave of herself freely—often putting others’ needs and wishes ahead of her own.

She loved to a fault, and one of her greatest expressions of love was through food. Maria knew the way to our hearts was through our stomachs, and when she asked, “Did you love the food?” what she was really asking was, “Do you love me?”

If Maria had it her way, we’d all be under one roof right now—celebrating someone’s birthday or reminiscing about simpler times. Help us give her the sendoff that she would have unselfishly given to any of us.

We are asking for support to help cover medical expenses, end-of-life care, and funeral arrangements so that we can honor Maria with the same love and generosity she showed to everyone around her.
