Homeless veteran & fiancé need help with deposit

assistance with homeless veteran and fiancé.

I have been working with a homeless veteran (Tim), his fiancé (Leyla) and service dog (button) for the last week.

Tim was transferred from his job in Arizona to Asheville. When they arrived they were in a car accident and car was totaled. They also had a camper lined up to rent, unfortunately the renter and camper took their $1500 and left disappeared.

Tim is staying at the ABCCM VRQ temporarily, Leyla is at the Western Carolinas women's shelter and Button is staying at the Top Dog Kennel in Swannanoa.

We have made contact with all homeless resources in the area, Eblen, ABCCM, and Homeward Bound. Unfortunately, none of the programs can assist as they make too much money....A gap in resources, its sad.

Leyla is currently locked down at shelter as someone there tested positive for Covid, and will be for the next 7 days even though she is vaccinated.

Tim, is currently working daily 12 hr shifts 6pm to 6am. He isnt getting quality sleep at the shelter and is struggling to get things accomplished.

what we need help with.

1. Tim, Leyla and Button need housing of some form to bring this family unit back together. He can afford [phone redacted] per month for housing, but doesn't have deposits until he can save.

there looking for basically anything that they can bring them together again, whether its an apartment, house or even a camper.

Can anyone help?

I'm sure yall remember me as our community has answered my call for help on numerous occasions in assisting with homeless veterans. Yall have actually help furnish, feed several veterans in the past. I thank you.
