Home Lost to Long Lake Wildfires; Newborn on the Way

My name is Tori and I am starting this fundraiser for my friends Meghan and Michael who have lost their home to the Long Lake Wildfires in Nova Scotia. They moved here just under a year ago and have spent the entire time fully renovating their forever home. They finished renovating it 2 Fridays ago and were evacuated the next week due to uncontrolled wild fires in the area. They have since learned that their entire home has been lost to the flames which includes their brand new nursery for their sweet baby girl who is set to arrive in 2 weeks. All they have is the clothes on their backs and a car seat.

While Meghan and Michael have dealt with the loss of their home Michael has continued to work as a Respiratory Therapist at the local hospital where Meghan worked as an ICU nurse before her maternity leave. They are safe with their 2 dogs and 2 cats at a friend's cottage but will be restarting from the ashy group up with a newborn on their hip.
