Hello, my name is Emma and I play football for Plainmoor Ladies FC. Holly played alongside me in defence and was my football bestie. She was a very loved and valued player within our football family aswell as the wider football community.

As I’m sure most of you are aware Holly battled and fought against cancer for 8 hard and painful months before we unfortunatley lost her in May. This has absolutely broke us and we truly are heartbroken. Those who knew Holly will know that she always gave her absolute best even though she lacked confidence, she was everyones biggest supporter and she always put in 104% energy no matter what!

Holly had the best attitude on and off the pitch. She was always so strong, positive and brave. She brought a smile to everyones face and was always thinking of everyone else before herself. This is why I really want to fulfill one of her last wishes if possible, which was to have a memorial bench on her home pitch.

She really loved her football and was devastated when she became too poorly to continue playing, but in true Holly style she made sure she was on the sideline shouting at us all and cheering us on when she could! I would love to be able to raise enough money to fulfill her wish and get her bench on our home pitch. That way she will always be with us when we play, never forgotten and her family will have a place to sit when they come to watch.

She was one in a million and deserved so much more than what she had to go through.
